There are more platforms and mediums for messages and unimaginable access to unfathomably granular targeting. And yet, it’s harder than ever to get noticed…

What good are tricks if everyone has the same magic set?

We focus on the thought; the idea at the heart of the communication, because we believe that’s what your audience responds to. Not the flourish, but the thinking that makes the execution possible. We know that problems are solved by ideas, not effects, tricks, styles and gimmicks – there’s a place for these but not at the start of the process. We take the time to understand the problem before contemplating the execution of the solution then we add the flourish.

Outliers

Graphic design, branding and visual communication is in a state of almost constant flux. At this point, the old models of process and production are redundant, the business is different this week from last week and and will be different again next week. What is possible is expanding at a dizzying rate.

Embrace or perish.

By keeping a commercial focus on fundamentals (good ideas that solve problems) we’re making space for the creative possibilities of Ai and its shameless willingness to smash entirely disparate concepts, and styles into one another to create something unexpected. We want to play with it, challenge it, and exploit it. To speed things up, to iterate at far greater volume and to find surprising, amusing and interesting ideas that bring artfulness and nuance back to graphic design.

Outliers is a place for contemplation and play, for experiments with Ai and language models and pondering the possibilities. Ultimately, we want to find new and interesting applications for Ai in creative communication that improve outcomes for our clients and make better, more interesting work.
