Outthought is a creative agency that solves design problems with good ideas, transforms brands, and eases client anxieties

What’s your problem?

If you don’t know the answer, that’s okay; we can help. Outthought works with brands, businesses, startups, organisations and individuals to define, think through, and ultimately solve visual communication problems with intelligent, articulate and effective creative solutions. We do it on time and on budget to help our clients look better, stand out and sell more. And lord knows that’s getting harder all the time…

There’s so much of everything everywhere that sometimes it feels like nothing means anything any more.

Thoughts

In a world of constant, relentless content it’s never been more challenging to get your audience’s attention, let alone keep it for long enough to get your message across. In response, we see more affecting effects and more tricks up sleeves. We see a proliferation of platforms and mediums for messages and we have unimaginable access to unfathomably granular targeting. And yet, it’s harder than ever to get noticed…

What good are tricks if everyone has the same magic set?

Slick execution is a baseline now attainable for everyone and rightfully expected by your audience. It’s important, of course, but more important is the idea that solves the problem and the thinking that gets you there. And that is where Outthought excels.

Outthought just get it. Their understanding of the vision for our projects brings the work to life in completely unexpected ways.

Results

We take time to fully interrogate the requirements of every project we work on. We develop a complete understanding of the problem and get to know your target audience because our real client is your client.

We apply a proven process that capitalises on the utility of Ai to improve outcomes. We use these tools not to aid production, but to help develop better, more robust ideas and solutions and when we find them, we rigorously test outcomes against this little scamp…

Outliers

Graphic design, branding and visual communication is in a state of almost constant flux. At this point, the old models of process and production are redundant, the business is different this week from last week and and will be different again next week. What is possible is expanding at a dizzying rate.

Embrace or perish

By keeping a commercial focus on fundamentals (good ideas that solve problems) we’re making space for the creative possibilities of Ai and its shameless willingness to smash entirely disparate concepts and styles into one another to create something unexpected. We want to play with it, challenge it, and find the best uses for it. To speed things up, to iterate at far greater volume and to find surprising, amusing and interesting ideas that bring artfulness and nuance back to commercial graphic design.

Outliers will ultimately be a place for contemplation and play, for experiments with Ai and language models, and pondering the creative possibilities. Ultimately, we want to find new and interesting applications for Ai in creative communication that improve outcomes for our clients and make better, more interesting work.
